Lugaid mac Itha was the son of Ith and the husband of Fial. When his father jouneyed to Ireland and was killed by the Tuatha de Danann, Lugaid accompainied the sons of his cousin Mil Espaine to Ireland, eager to avenge his father's death.
The high king Eochaid Etgudach was a descendant of Lugaid.
